Termez is Uzbekistan's southernmost city, on the Amu Darya river across from Afghanistan, and holds some of the country's oldest Buddhist heritage sites, including Fayaz Tepe and Kara Tepe — a very different stop from the Silk Road cities further north.
Most visitors reach Termez by domestic flight given the distance from Tashkent and Samarkand, and we arrange the airport pickup along with a private driver for the day if you want to visit the archaeological sites without arranging separate local transport.
