Trips from Nukus

Aral Sea transfers and trips

The Aral Sea was once one of the largest lakes in the world. Today its old port of Muynak sits far from the water, with fishing boats stranded on the desert. Getting there takes planning — we arrange the transport.

Muynak & the ship graveyard

Rusting trawlers on the former seabed, and a small museum telling the story of the town. Reachable on paved roads from Nukus.

The shoreline

Reaching the water today means hours across the dried seabed by 4x4 — usually as a two-day trip with a night in a yurt camp or tent.

Ustyurt Plateau

Limestone cliffs above the former sea, with wide desert views. Often combined with the shoreline on an overnight trip.
