About this experience

The Bukhara region has a long ceramic tradition, with the workshops of nearby Gijduvan known for their warm yellow, brown and green glazes. In this workshop a local ceramic artist shows you how pieces are thrown, decorated and fired.

You'll try the potter's wheel and paint a traditional pattern yourself. Ask about shipping or collecting a finished piece — firing and glazing take time, so this is arranged with the workshop when you confirm.

Questions

Do I pay when I send a request?
No. A request is free and without obligation. We check availability with the local host, then send you the plan and the final price. Nothing is booked until you confirm.
How is my experience confirmed?
After you send a request we contact the host for your date and group size, then reply by your preferred contact method with the details, meeting point and price.
What does "Price on request" mean?
Some experiences depend on the season, the group size or the host's schedule. We quote them for your exact date and group — there's no obligation to book.
Can you add transport to an experience?
Yes. Tick "Add a private transfer" in the request form, or book a transfer separately. Transportation is what we do every day, so pickups from your hotel or between cities are easy to combine.

Yes. Tell us where you're going and what you're interested in, and we'll look for a local host who can offer it.
