About this experience
The Kyzylkum — the Red Sands — stretches across western Uzbekistan, and the fortress hill of Ayaz Kala is one of the best places to watch the sun go down over it.
This late-afternoon trip takes you up to the fortress for sunset and down to a yurt camp for tea. It's easy to combine with a visit to the other fortresses earlier in the day.
