About this experience
Uzbek music has its own instruments, scales and rhythms, and hearing them up close is very different from a concert hall. In this small-group session a traditional musician introduces the national instruments and the music that goes with them.
You'll hear the dutar, rubab and doira, learn about the maqom classical tradition and folk songs, and try to play a simple rhythm on the doira frame drum yourself.
