About this experience

Suzani are large embroidered textiles, traditionally made by women for a bride's dowry and covered in flowers, pomegranates and sun motifs. Each region has its own style, and Bukhara's are among the best known.

In this workshop a local embroiderer explains the symbols and colours, then teaches you the basic stitches on a small piece you can keep.
