About this experience
The choyxona — the tea house — is where Uzbek men have met for generations to drink tea, eat plov and talk. It's still the social centre of many neighbourhoods, and a relaxed way to see everyday life.
With a local host you'll learn the tea rituals (why the tea is poured back and forth, why cups are only half filled), share bread and snacks, and talk about life in Tashkent.
