In Samarkand, plov is a morning dish — locals eat it before noon, and the best places are often sold out by lunch. This walk starts with plov where people from the neighbourhood eat it, then continues into Siab Bazaar.
At the bazaar you'll see the famous Samarkand bread, dried fruit, nuts and spices, and learn how locals shop. The walk ends in the back streets of the old Jewish and Uzbek quarters, a side of Samarkand most visitors miss.
