Bukhara to Samarkand by train or private transfer?

An honest comparison. Both are good options — it depends on your plans. Train vs private transfer, leg by leg.

By train

The Afrosiyob high-speed train takes around 1.5 to 2 hours between Bukhara and Samarkand. Bukhara's station is in Kagan, about 15 km from the old town, so add a taxi at each end.

By private car Door to door

A private car goes from your hotel door to your hotel door with all your luggage, leaves when you want, and can stop at workshops or viewpoints on the way.

What the car costs per person

The price is per vehicle, so it gets cheaper per person as your group grows. Compare with train tickets for the same number of people — and remember the taxis to and from the stations.
