About this experience
Samarkand's great monuments are best understood with someone who can tell their stories: who built them, why, and what happened to them over six centuries. This walk covers the essentials of the old city at an easy pace.
You'll see Registan Square with the Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tilya-Kori madrasas, the Gur-e-Amir mausoleum where Amir Timur is buried, and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, with a stop at Siab Bazaar and time for photos at the Shah-i-Zinda necropolis.
