The Khiva to Tashkent journey
The road from Khiva to Tashkent is about 1,000 km. Non-stop it takes 13 to 15 hours, so many travellers stop for a night in Bukhara or Samarkand.
The first part crosses the Kyzylkum desert to Bukhara, then the road continues east through Samarkand and Jizzakh to Tashkent.
