Bukhara to Tashkent by train or private transfer?

An honest comparison. Both are good options — it depends on your plans. Train vs private transfer, leg by leg.

By train

The Afrosiyob high-speed train is much faster — around 4 hours — but it is the most popular train in the country and sells out early. Bukhara's station is in Kagan, about 15 km from the old town.

By private car Door to door

The car is slower but door to door, takes all your luggage and can stop in Samarkand on the way. It is a good fallback when trains are sold out, or for groups where the per-vehicle price beats several train tickets.

What the car costs per person

The price is per vehicle, so it gets cheaper per person as your group grows. Compare with train tickets for the same number of people — and remember the taxis to and from the stations.
